2:4 fanout with universal input conditioning
The LMK1D1204RGTR is a 2:4 clock buffer from Texas Instruments that accepts HCSL, LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers LVDS outputs at up to 2 GHz. The 2:4 ratio means two selectable input banks feed four differential outputs — useful for splitting a reference clock to multiple SerDes or FPGA banks without adding a separate fanout tree. The supply voltage accepts three common rails: 1.71V–1.89V, 2.375V–2.625V, and 3.135V–3.465V. That covers 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V systems directly, so the same BOM line works across a multi-voltage backplane without a local regulator.
Industrial temperature and QFN footprint
The differential input and output paths are both fully differential, which means the part preserves signal integrity on long PCB traces — the common-mode rejection rejects ground bounce that single-ended buffers pass through.
