What the jitter cleaner does on the board
The LMK04808BISQX/NOPB is a PLLatinum™ jitter cleaner from Texas Instruments, built to scrub phase noise from a reference clock before distributing it across a system. It accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers the same three output types, with a maximum output frequency of 1.536 GHz. The 2:14 input-to-output ratio means two reference inputs feed fourteen clock outputs, each independently configurable.
Package and rework reality
Housed in a 64-WFQFN with an exposed pad, 9x9 mm body per the supplier device package. The exposed pad is the thermal and electrical ground path — it needs a solid solder connection to the board's ground plane. Under a hot-air station, preheat the board to 150°C before hitting the part; the large pad soaks heat fast. Supply voltage is 3.15 V to 3.45 V, a tight window — the board's local rail should be within 2% of 3.3 V to stay inside the envelope.
