1.57 GHz PLL clock conditioner — jitter budget fit
The LMK04031BISQX/NOPB integrates a PLL (phase-locked loop) with a maximum output frequency of 1.57 GHz, positioning it as a clock conditioner for high-speed data converter, FPGA, and SerDes reference clock trees where phase noise cleanup is required. The 2:6 input-to-output ratio means two reference inputs can be selected to feed six conditioned clock outputs — enough to distribute a clean clock to multiple ADC channels or FPGA banks from a single device.
Multi-protocol I/O and supply rail
Input and output ports accept and deliver LVCMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, and 2VPECL levels, so the device bridges between different logic families on the same board without external level translators. The supply voltage range is 3.15 V to 3.45 V, a narrow window that requires a clean 3.3 V rail — a low-noise LDO feeding this pin is standard practice to keep PLL in-band spurs below the datasheet floor. All signal paths are differential on both input and output sides, which improves common-mode noise rejection in the clock distribution path.
Package and thermal pad
The datasheet's recommended land pattern includes a central via array under the pad.
