Clock-tree workhorse with 3.1 GHz ceiling
The LMK01801BISQE/NOPB is a three-in-one clock-tree device: fanout buffer, divider, and multiplexer rolled into a single 48-WQFN package. It handles up to 3.1 GHz on the input, which means it can distribute a 10G Ethernet reference clock or a high-speed ADC sample clock without needing a separate prescaler. Input flexibility covers LVCMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, and RF sinewave — the same part can buffer a crystal oscillator output or a differential PLL clock. The output side mirrors the input types, so the signal level stays compatible with the downstream load.
Supply and temperature guardrails
A 3.3 V rail with ±5 % tolerance keeps the part inside the window, but a 3.3 V rail with ±10 % tolerance drifts to 3.63 V at the high end — that is out of spec. The power tree needs a regulated LDO or a clean DC-DC output.
