The LMH6720MA is a single-channel current-feedback (CFB) op amp from National Semiconductor. Its 1800 V/µs slew rate and 400 MHz -3 dB bandwidth target high-speed signal paths where settling time and large-signal fidelity matter — video distribution, pulse amplification, and wideband ADC drivers. The CFB topology keeps the bandwidth relatively flat across gain settings, so you don't lose speed when you close the loop for a gain of +2 or +5.
Supply rails and power budget
Runs from a single 8 V to 12.5 V supply or dual ±4 V to ±6.25 V rails. The 5.6 mA quiescent current is modest for this speed class — about half what some 400 MHz CFB parts draw — so it fits in a mixed-signal board where the ±5 V analog rail is already present. The 70 mA output current per channel gives enough drive to swing into a 50 Ω or 75 Ω back-terminated load, which is typical for video cable drivers.
Package and board integration
That is the standard narrow SOIC-8 footprint — no surprises for layout. Surface-mount only.
