Sync separator for NTSC/PAL video chains
The Texas Instruments LMH1981MTX/NOPB is a video sync separator designed to extract horizontal and vertical sync timing from standard-definition composite video signals. The wide supply range from 3.13V to 5.25V means it can drop into a legacy 5V video chassis or a modern 3.3V FPGA-driven board without a dedicated supply rail — one less regulator on the BOM. Control is handled over a serial interface, so the host processor can configure the separator's output timing and polarity rather than relying on hardwired logic.
14-TSSOP footprint and surface-mount assembly
Housed in a 14-TSSOP package (4.40mm body width), this part suits dense multi-layer boards where board area is at a premium. The surface-mount profile is standard for reflow assembly; no special handling beyond MSL precautions. The tape-and-reel variant (MTX suffix) is the production-friendly option for pick-and-place lines. Cut-tape is also available for prototype or low-volume builds.
Active lifecycle, ROHS3, and compliance
This is a current-production part suitable for both new design-ins and ongoing production replenishment. No exemption paperwork needed for shipping into regulated markets.
