Broadcast video equalizer for 292M/259M links
The LMH0034MAX is a line equalizer from National Semiconductor (TI) designed for SMPTE 292M and 259M serial digital video interfaces. It compensates for cable losses in SDI and HD-SDI links, restoring signal integrity before the deserializer. The part operates from a 3.135V to 3.465V supply and comes in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package.
Supply rail and interface
The 3.135V–3.465V range maps to a 3.3V ±5% rail common on broadcast video cards. The serial interface handles the equalized differential output to the downstream deserializer. Keep the supply decoupling tight — 0.1 µF ceramic close to each supply pin, with a 10 µF bulk cap per card edge.
