Serial digital driver for SMPTE and DVB-ASI links
The Texas Instruments LMH0001SQ/NOPB is a serial digital video driver designed to drive 75-ohm coaxial cables in SMPTE and DVB-ASI broadcast infrastructure. It accepts a serial digital input and outputs a cable-drive signal compliant with the relevant eye-diagram templates. The serial control interface allows the output slew rate to be adjusted for different cable lengths without external passives.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 16-lead WQFN with an exposed thermal pad (4x4 mm body), the LMH0001SQ/NOPB requires a thermal-land pattern on the PCB for adequate heat sinking. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — the CT option suits prototype and low-volume builds where a full reel is not needed. Surface-mount assembly per standard WQFN reflow profiles.
Compliance and lifecycle
Targeted at consumer video applications, the driver is specified for the SMPTE and DVB-ASI standards that dominate broadcast and professional video distribution. No pin-compatible second-source or successor is listed; the BOM line depends on this single TI order code.
