Dual comparator with rail-to-rail output
The Texas Instruments LMC6772AIMMX is a dual general-purpose comparator with a rail-to-rail CMOS output stage, meaning the output swings within millivolts of both supply rails without needing a pull-up resistor — a direct fit for low-voltage logic interfaces where headroom is tight. Supply range spans 2.7 V to 15 V single supply, or ±1.35 V to ±7.5 V dual supplies, so the same part works in a 3.3 V sensor front-end or a 12 V industrial control board without a separate regulator.
Speed and power trade-off
Propagation delay is 10 µs max — fast enough for overcurrent detection and threshold monitoring in motor drives or power supplies, but not for high-speed pulse-width modulation loops where a 100 ns comparator would be needed. Quiescent current draws just 20 µA max per channel, keeping the thermal budget low in dense 8-VSSOP layouts where every milliwatt counts.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in an 8-VSSOP (MSOP-8) package with 0.65 mm pitch — the same footprint as the standard 8-TSSOP, so a single PCB layout serves both if alternate sourcing is needed.
