Product details

Supply voltage and accuracy envelope

The LM94022BIMG/NOPB: Accuracy is ±1.5°C typical in the 20°C to 40°C band, widening to ±2.7°C across the full 0°C to 150°C range — adequate for system thermal monitoring, over-temperature protection, and battery pack sensing where ±2°C is acceptable.

Programmable resolution trade-off

The output slope is programmable from 5.5 mV/°C to 13.6 mV/°C — lower gain gives wider temperature range into a fixed ADC reference, higher gain reduces the noise contribution of the ADC's own LSB. A 10-bit ADC with a 2.5 V reference reads about 2.44 mV per count; at 13.6 mV/°C that yields roughly 0.18°C per LSB, while at 5.5 mV/°C the same ADC sees 0.44°C per LSB — the trade-off is measurement resolution vs full-scale temperature span.

Temperature range and package fit

Rated from -50°C to 150°C ambient, the sensor covers cold-crank automotive, industrial oven exhaust monitoring, and outdoor telecom enclosures without grade splitting. Housed in a 5-pin SC-70 (SOT-353) package, the footprint is 2.0 mm × 2.1 mm — fits on a dense mixed-signal board where a larger SOT-23 or TO-92 would crowd the trace channel.

ROHS3 compliant, no lead or halogen exemptions to manage for EU or California markets.
