Dual local/remote sensing with programmable trip
The LM82CIMQA/NOPB: This lets a single part track the CPU core and the board ambient simultaneously. Accuracy is ±3°C typical, ±4°C worst-case across the full temperature span — adequate for thermal protection and fan-speed control where 1°C precision is not required. The integrated output switch and programmable limit register allow the part to assert an interrupt when the temperature crosses a threshold, eliminating continuous polling over the I²C/SMBus.
3.3V single-rail operation, 7-bit resolution
7-bit resolution yields 1°C per LSB — coarse compared to 12-bit parts but sufficient for over-temperature shutdown and thermal management in computing and industrial controllers. The I²C/SMBus interface shares the bus with other devices; the output switch can be wired to a dedicated GPIO or shared interrupt line.
Active lifecycle, 16-SSOP tube delivery
Packaged in a 16-lead SSOP (3.90 mm body width) supplied in tube format. The tube orientation suits hand-loading or tube-fed pick-and-place; verify feeder compatibility if your line is set up for tape-and-reel only. ROHS3 compliant — no restricted substances above exemption thresholds, no REACH SVHC declaration required for EU shipments.
