Dual general-purpose op-amp in a through-hole DIP
The Texas Instruments LM6132BIN/NOPB is a dual general-purpose operational amplifier with rail-to-rail output, packaged in an 8-pin DIP (0.300" body) for through-hole assembly. It delivers an 11 MHz gain-bandwidth product and a 14 V/µs slew rate, powered from a single supply spanning 1.8 V to 24 V. Each channel supplies up to 3.5 mA output current while the total quiescent draw is 390 µA for both amplifiers. The industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) suits it for motor-drive feedback, sensor conditioning, and general-purpose signal chains in factory automation, outdoor telecom, and automotive cabin electronics.
Supply span and rail-to-rail output
The 1.8 V minimum supply lets this part run from a single supply, while the 24 V maximum covers industrial buses. Rail-to-rail output swing preserves headroom in low-voltage single-supply designs.
Slew rate and bandwidth for the signal chain
At 14 V/µs slew rate and 11 MHz GBW, this op-amp handles fast edges in pulse-width modulation feedback loops, active filters up to a few hundred kilohertz, and data-acquisition front-ends sampling at moderate rates. The 125 nA input bias current and 1.7 mV input offset voltage are typical for a general-purpose bipolar stage — adequate for precision above a few millivolts, but not for microvolt-level sensor bridges.
Package and mounting
The 8-DIP (0.300" width, 7.62 mm pitch) is a standard through-hole footprint, compatible with breadboard prototyping and wave-solder production. The supplier device package is 8-PDIP. Tube delivery keeps leads straight for automatic insertion. No special pad layout or thermal vias are needed — the DIP body dissipates heat through the leads into the board copper.
