Dual low-side driver for N-channel MOSFETs
The Texas Instruments LM5110-3MX/NOPB is a dual, independent low-side gate driver designed to drive N-channel MOSFETs. It delivers a peak output current of 3 A source and 5 A sink, with typical rise and fall times of 14 ns and 12 ns respectively, making it suitable for switching power converters, motor drives, and class-D audio amplifiers that need fast, controlled gate charging. The supply voltage range of 3.5 V to 14 V covers 5 V and 12 V bias rails commonly found in industrial and automotive power stages.
Independent channels with inverting and non-inverting inputs
Each of the two driver channels operates independently, with separate inverting and non-inverting inputs. The logic input thresholds are 0.8 V for VIL and 2.2 V for VIH, which allows direct interfacing with 5 V logic families without external level shifting.
Temperature grade and environment
Rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, the LM5110-3MX/NOPB is specified for industrial environments such as motor drives, power inverters, and outdoor telecom equipment.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is RoHS3 compliant, so it meets the current European Union restriction on hazardous substances without requiring an exemption. The NOPB suffix in the order code confirms the lead-free (no Pb) finish.
