Product details

Supply range and bootstrap — fit constraints

The 8V to 14V supply range is tighter than many wide-VIN gate drivers; it will not run from a 5V rail or a 24V industrial supply without an intermediate regulator. The bootstrap diode is internal, but the high-side driver requires a bootstrap capacitor sized for the total gate charge of the upper MOSFET. With a 118V maximum bootstrap voltage, the part can handle DC bus voltages up to roughly 100V with margin — suitable for 48V telecom rectifiers, 72V e-bike controllers, or 96V solar MPPT stages. For bus voltages above 100V, look at a higher-voltage bootstrap driver.

Thermal range and package

The 10-VSSOP package is a compact surface-mount footprint. The tape-and-reel option is the standard production reel; the cut-tape variant is also listed.

Frequently asked questions

Is LM5106MMX/NOPB compatible with 3.3V logic?

Yes. The input logic thresholds are 0.8V (VIL) and 2.2V (VIH), so 3.3V logic levels meet the VIH requirement with margin. 1.8V logic will not reliably drive the inputs.

What is the peak output current of LM5106MMX/NOPB?

The peak output current is 1.2A source and 1.8A sink. This is sufficient to drive medium-power MOSFETs (total gate charge up to roughly 50-100 nC) at switching frequencies up to several hundred kilohertz.
