The DDPAK/TO-263-9 is a surface-mount package with an exposed pad (9 leads plus tab). The tab is the main thermal path — the PCB layout must have a thermal land and vias to a ground plane. The part is available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape, so it suits both prototype assembly and production reflow.
