Product details

25-ball CSPBGA footprint and board integration

The LM49100GR is supplied in a 25-TFBGA, CSPBGA package with a 3x3 mm body (25-CSBGA). Supply decoupling should follow the 2.7V to 5.5V range — a 1 µF ceramic close to each supply ball and a 10 µF bulk cap per rail keeps the amplifier's PSRR from being degraded by trace inductance at the output switching edges.

Output power and load matching

Rated 1.575W continuous into an 8Ω load from a single channel — this is the mono speaker output at the supply voltage upper end. The stereo headphone output is a separate, lower-power path; the two outputs share the same Class AB output stage but the headphone path is current-limited to protect the earpiece.

Frequently asked questions

Does LM49100GR work with a 3.3V supply?

Yes — the supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V, so a 3.3V rail is within the operating envelope. Output power into 8Ω will be lower than the 1.575W maximum, which is specified at the upper end of the supply range.
