Supply range and output power
Each channel delivers 325 mW into 8 ohms, enough to drive small speakers or high-impedance headphones in portable gear. The Class AB output stage keeps crossover distortion low, which matters for clear audio at low listening levels.
Protection and shutdown
Built-in thermal protection prevents the die from overheating if the output is shorted or driven too hard — the amplifier shuts down and recovers when it cools. A shutdown pin lets a microcontroller or GPIO put the amplifier into a low-power idle state, saving battery when audio is not needed.
The 8-SOIC package (3.90 mm body width) is a common footprint — easy to hand-solder on a repair site without a hot-air station, and the pinout is straightforward enough to trace with a multimeter.
