Package and board-fit for a precision reference
The LM4128AQ1MF3.0/NOPB comes in a SOT-23-5 package (SC-74A, SOT-753), surface-mount, 5 pins. That footprint is common enough that it swaps in with standard tweezers and a soldering iron — no hot-air station required for a field repair, as long as you have the pad layout right. It is a series voltage reference, fixed 3V output, with ±0.1% initial tolerance and a 75ppm/°C temperature coefficient.
Input voltage range is 3.4V to 5.5V — it needs at least 400 mV headroom above the 3V output to regulate. Drop it on a 3.3V rail and you have 300 mV of margin; on a 5V rail, plenty of room. Output current is 20 mA maximum. That is enough to bias a handful of ADC inputs or an op-amp front end, but not to power a whole sensor array — budget the load current against the 100 µA supply current the reference itself draws. For a 3V reference feeding a 16-bit ADC with a 5V span, that noise contribution is about 0.3 LSB — clean enough for most industrial and automotive signal chains without an external filter cap.
Automotive grade and temperature reach
The 75ppm/°C drift is specified across that whole band, so the output does not wander when the ECU heat-soaks after a hot soak.
