Automotive-grade adjustable shunt reference
Its adjustable output spans from a 1.233 V minimum up to 10 V, set by two external resistors — a flexible rail for ADCs, sensor bias, or comparator thresholds in engine-control and chassis modules.
Output range and accuracy for production calibration
Initial tolerance is ±1%, which keeps the reference voltage within tight bounds without trimming at board test. Cathode current is 73 µA typical, and the device can sink up to 12 mA of output current. That 73 µA floor means the reference always draws enough bias to stay in regulation; the 12 mA ceiling sets the load the reference can drive before the output drops out of spec.
Housed in a SOT-23-3 package (also listed as TO-236-3 / SC-59), the three-pin footprint is shared across the LM4041 family. The same land pattern works for fixed-output siblings, so a layout can accommodate either an adjustable or a fixed reference without a board spin.
