Adjustable shunt reference, 1.233 V to 10 V
The ±1% initial tolerance gives you a predictable voltage without trimming, and the 12 mA output current handles typical bias and reference loads in industrial control, power supply feedback, and data-acquisition circuits.
80 µA cathode current floor
The minimum cathode current of 80 µA sets the lower bias point for the shunt. Below that, the reference may drop out of regulation. For the feedback divider, size the resistors so the total cathode current stays above 80 µA across the load range. The 20 µVrms noise spec over 10 Hz to 10 kHz is typical for a shunt reference at this precision tier — adequate for 12-bit ADC references without external filtering.
For BOM continuity, the base number LM4041 spans multiple tolerance and package variants, giving you a family-level second-source path without requalifying the footprint.
Sourcing and RFQ posture
The TO-92-3 package ships in Cut Tape or Tape & Box — both suitable for hand-assembly or low-volume pick-and-place. For a production line, qualify the alternate package variants (e.g., SOT-23) if board space is tight, but the through-hole version is the easier swap-in for existing designs.
