12 mA output, 80 µA cathode — load and bias budget
The reference can source up to 12 mA to the load, while the cathode current is just 80 µA — the shunt current that must be supplied through the bias resistor. This low cathode current keeps the overall power dissipation small in battery-powered or thermally constrained designs.
That drift matters when the reference sits in a motor-drive enclosure or near an engine bay — the output shifts about 0.15 mV per degree, so a 100°C swing moves the reference by roughly 18 mV.
