Adjustable shunt reference in a SOT-23-3 footprint
The LM4041CIM3X-ADJ is an adjustable shunt voltage reference from Texas Instruments, delivering a ±0.5% initial tolerance across an output range from 1.233 V up to 10 V. It operates as a two-terminal shunt regulator — no external series pass element — and sinks a cathode current of 65 µA typical, with a maximum output current of 12 mA. The SOT-23-3 package (TO-236-3 / SC-59 compatible) keeps the board footprint small, making it a common choice for precision bias supplies, ADC references, and comparator thresholds in portable or space-constrained designs.
Temperature coefficient and noise floor
Wideband noise is specified at 20 µVrms over a 10 Hz to 10 kHz bandwidth — low enough for 10- to 12-bit ADC reference applications without additional filtering in most cases.
