Adjustable shunt reference — ±0.5% sets the system accuracy floor
The ±0.5% initial tolerance defines the uncalibrated accuracy of whatever rail it biases.
80 µA cathode current — low enough for battery-powered bias
The minimum cathode current is 80 µA; the reference regulates properly once the current through it exceeds that floor. With a 12 mA maximum output capability, it can supply the bias for an op-amp divider string or multiple ADC reference inputs simultaneously.
SOT-23-3 — small footprint for dense boards
The SOT-23-3 package fits between the decoupling caps of a mixed-signal IC. The shunt topology means no separate supply pin — the reference sits in series with a bias resistor from the rail.
