Adjustable shunt reference in SOT-23-3
The 68 µA cathode current is the minimum bias needed to keep the reference in regulation — undershoot that in the resistor divider and the output voltage drops out of spec.
Output current and bias resistor sizing
The reference can sink up to 12 mA at the cathode, which sets the upper limit for the load current plus the resistor divider current. The bias resistor from the supply to the cathode must be chosen so that the cathode current stays above 68 µA at the minimum supply voltage and maximum load.
The /NOPB suffix confirms lead-free (RoHS-compliant) construction.
