Precision shunt reference — 1.233 V to 10 V, ±0.2 %
Its output is set with two external resistors from a minimum of 1.233 V up to 10 V, covering common ADC reference, comparator threshold, and bias-supply voltages from a single BOM line. Initial tolerance is ±0.2 %, which holds the reference uncertainty to 2.5 mV at the 1.233 V minimum output — tight enough for a 12-bit ADC's 1 LSB budget without a software calibration step. The shunt topology sinks 80 µA minimum cathode current and delivers up to 12 mA to the load, so the designer sizes the bias resistor for the sum of load current plus cathode current across the full supply range.
Temperature drift and noise floor
Temperature coefficient is 100 ppm/°C typical. Wideband noise from 10 Hz to 10 kHz is 20 µVrms. That is low enough that the reference noise does not dominate the ADC's SNR for a 12-bit converter at 1.233 V (LSB ≈ 300 µV); for a 16-bit system the noise contribution should be budgeted against the converter's own noise floor.
