5 V shunt reference with ±0.2% initial accuracy
It delivers a fixed 5 V output with ±0.2% initial tolerance — tight enough to serve as the reference for an 8-bit or 10-bit ADC without external trimming. As a shunt (two-terminal) reference, it behaves like a low-temperature-coefficient Zener: you set the operating current with a single series resistor from the supply rail. The minimum cathode current to maintain regulation is 80 µA, and the absolute maximum continuous cathode current is 15 mA.
Obsolete — official status and sourcing path
No official successor part number has been published, so the replacement path is either a pin-compatible shunt reference from the same family or a move to a series reference if the application can tolerate the different topology. Availability is limited to existing factory stock and the independent surplus channel.
For a 5 V reference that is about 16 ppm rms — clean enough for a 12-bit ADC if the reference input is adequately bypassed.
