4.096 V shunt reference for precision bias and ADC references
The Texas Instruments LM4040B41IDCKR is a precision shunt voltage reference delivering a fixed 4.096 V output with ±0.2% initial tolerance. As a shunt reference, it behaves like a precision Zener diode — it requires a bias resistor from the supply to set the operating current, and the load draws current from the same node. The minimum cathode current is 88 µA, and the device can source up to 15 mA to the load while maintaining regulation.
Temperature drift and noise floor for industrial signal chains
This low-noise characteristic makes the part suitable for precision measurement chains where the reference noise must not dominate the ADC's quantization noise floor.
Active lifecycle and SC-70-5 footprint planning
The device is offered in a 5-pin SC-70-5 package (also known as SOT-353).
