Core and memory — what the 80MHz and 256KB mean for fit
The 256KB of on-chip Flash and 64K x 8 SRAM support moderate firmware images — think a TCP/IP stack with a small application layer, or a CANopen node with a few hundred objects. If your firmware image or data buffer exceeds this, you are looking at a larger member of the Stellaris family or a migration to a newer Cortex-M4 or M7 part.
Peripheral set — Ethernet, CAN, USB OTG on one chip
The 16-channel 10-bit ADC covers analog sensing for voltage, current, or temperature inputs.
Package and temperature — 108-BGA, industrial range
Supply voltage is a tight 1.235V to 1.365V core rail — that means a dedicated low-noise regulator, not a shared 3.3V or 5V rail. Plan for a separate 1.25V or 1.3V LDO with adequate decoupling.
