The LM3S8538-IQC50-A2 is obsolete per the manufacturer. For existing BOM lines, procurement must go through surplus or broker channels.
Program memory is 96 KB of Flash, backed by 64 KB of SRAM — enough for moderate firmware stacks running a real-time OS or bare-metal control loop. The 64 KB SRAM gives room for Ethernet packet buffers or CAN message queues without external memory.
The 8-channel 10-bit ADC covers analog sensor inputs. Brown-out detect, POR, PWM, and WDT are integrated for supervisory and timing tasks.
Housed in a 100-pin LQFP (14x14 mm body), surface-mount.
