That means it's still available for existing production but the EOL clock is ticking — TI will eventually issue a last-time-buy notice. Anyone qualifying this part into a new BOM should stop and pick a current-production alternative. For existing builds, secure enough inventory to cover the remaining production run before the LTB window closes.
TI has not published a single direct pin-compatible replacement for this NRND part. The Stellaris family has been superseded by the Tiva C series (TM4C123x), which offers a similar Cortex-M4 core with more memory and peripherals but a different pinout. A board respin is required. For existing designs, the closest functional path is to evaluate the TM4C123GH6PM or a comparable current-production Cortex-M3 from NXP or STMicroelectronics.
