50 MHz ARM Cortex-M3 in a hand-solderable 48-LQFP
The 48-LQFP (7×7 mm) package uses a 0.5 mm pitch — manageable with a fine-tip iron and some flux, so it's a candidate for hand-assembly or rework.
This means TI will continue to support existing production for a time, but the part is on a path toward end-of-life. For existing designs, secure your last-time-buy quantities or plan a migration.
Supply range and internal oscillator
The Vcc range of 3.0 V to 3.6 V aligns with standard 3.3 V logic. For timing-sensitive protocols like UART at higher baud rates, you may still want an external clock source for tighter accuracy.
