32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 MCU from the Stellaris 6000 series, clocked at 80 MHz with 512 KB Flash and 64 KB SRAM. Integrates Ethernet MAC and PHY, I²C, SPI, UART, SSI, and a 16-channel 12-bit ADC.
The 80 MHz Cortex-M3 delivers enough throughput to run a lightweight TCP/IP stack and a real-time control loop without an external host processor. The 512 KB Flash holds a full application image plus a bootloader for field updates over Ethernet; the 64 KB SRAM provides packet buffers and variable storage — adequate for moderate data logging but tight for heavy web-server content. The 16-channel 12-bit ADC captures analog sensor inputs directly, reducing external ADC count.
