50 MHz Cortex-M3 with Ethernet — the peripheral set
The Ethernet MAC is the headline peripheral — it puts a full 10/100 MII interface on the die, which was a differentiator for this generation of Stellaris parts. Alongside Ethernet you get I²C, SPI, SSI, Microwire, IrDA, and UART/USART connectivity, plus 46 GPIOs, PWM, a watchdog timer, and brown-out detect/POR.
The 108-LFBGA package measures 10x10 mm with a 0.8 mm ball pitch. That pitch is comfortable for a standard BGA rework station — no micro-BGA tricks — but the 10x10 array still needs a good x-ray after reflow to catch head-in-pillow voids. MSL rating is not in the record, so treat it as MSL 3 unless a date-code trace gives you the bake history.
