What this Cortex-M3 brings to a 50 MHz control loop
It's a single-core part built for deterministic interrupt response — the Cortex-M3's vectored interrupt controller handles latency in a handful of cycles, which matters when you're closing a PWM loop or servicing a UART buffer without missing characters. The 30 GPIOs and 6-channel 10-bit ADC give it enough I/O for a sensor-fusion node or a motor-drive interface without needing external muxing.
