50 MHz Cortex-M3 with 32 KB Flash — what it fits
The part includes 32 general-purpose I/O lines, a 4-channel 10-bit ADC, and serial interfaces covering I2C, SPI, SSI, Microwire, and UART/USART.
This means TI has flagged it for eventual discontinuation; new designs should target a pin-compatible successor or a current-production alternative.
Memory and peripheral fit
The 32 I/O lines and the ADC provide enough headroom for a handful of analog inputs and digital actuators. The UART and SPI interfaces handle common industrial buses (Modbus RTU, sensor SPI reads) without external translation.
