80MHz Cortex-M3 with 128KB Flash
The LM3S5651-IQC80-C5T is a Texas Instruments Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3 MCU clocked at 80MHz, with 128KB of on-chip Flash and 32K x 8 of SRAM. It carries a full set of peripherals including CAN, USB OTG, multiple serial interfaces, and a 16-channel 10-bit ADC — enough to handle a mixed-signal control board without external ADCs.
Peripheral set and package
67 I/O lines are brought out to a 100-LQFP package with a 14x14 mm body — the 0.5 mm pitch demands a 4-layer PCB for reliable fan-out. On-chip oscillator eliminates the external crystal for most applications, though the USB OTG peripheral still requires a precision clock source. Brown-out detect, POR, and watchdog timer are integrated — no external supervisor IC needed for basic reset handling.
