Program memory is 128 KB of on-chip Flash, backed by 64 KB of SRAM — enough headroom for moderate control firmware and a real-time data buffer for sensor fusion or protocol bridging. The core processor is the ARM Cortex-M3, which includes a hardware single-cycle multiply and a Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller for deterministic interrupt latency. Four 10-bit ADC channels are integrated for analog input.
Packaged in a 108-LFBGA (10x10 mm body, 108 balls), the LM3S2739-IBZ50-A2T is a surface-mount device. The 56 I/O lines are routed through the BGA array, which typically requires a four-layer PCB with microvias for fanout. Any interface to 3.3 V logic or peripherals needs level translation.
