Connectivity and peripheral set
The MCU integrates CANbus, I²C, SPI, SSI, UART/USART, and IrDA — covering the common industrial fieldbus and sensor interfaces. The 53 GPIOs can drive a parallel LCD or multiple chip selects without external port expanders. A 4-channel 10-bit ADC handles basic analog inputs like potentiometer feedback or temperature sensor conditioning. The internal oscillator eliminates the external crystal for many applications, though the accuracy may not suit precision timing.
