50 MHz ARM Cortex-M3 with industrial I/O
The LM3S2651-EQC50-A2T is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 MCU from the Stellaris family, clocked at 50 MHz with 128 KB of Flash program memory and 32 KB of SRAM. It carries 53 general-purpose I/O lines and a peripheral set that includes CANbus, I²C, SPI, SSI, UART, and a 4-channel 10-bit ADC. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C suits it for industrial control, motor drives, and outdoor telecom equipment where the ambient can swing hard.
Memory and peripheral fit
128 KB Flash and 32 KB RAM handle moderate firmware loads — think a CANopen node with a few sensor inputs and a PWM output, not a graphics stack. The 4-channel 10-bit ADC covers analog feedback from potentiometers or current shunts. Brown-out reset and POR are on-chip, so the external supervisor can be a simple resistor-capacitor pair.
