The Texas Instruments LM3S2608-EQC50-A2T is a Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3S 2000 series microcontroller built around a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 core clocked at 50 MHz. The 100-LQFP package (14x14 mm) provides 52 GPIOs, enough for a mixed-signal control board with parallel LCD or keypad matrix.
That means the board's LDO or DC-DC must hold the rail within 200 mV of 2.5 V, which rules out a simple 3.3 V rail and a series resistor. Plan for a dedicated 2.5 V regulator with ±10% tolerance.
Texas Instruments has ended production; no last-time-buy window remains open through the factory.
