50 MHz Cortex-M3 with 128 KB Flash — what it means for the control loop
The LM3S2601-EQC50-A2 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 MCU from Texas Instruments' Stellaris series. The 50 MHz core handles motor drives, industrial I/O nodes, and sensor fusion tasks. 128 KB of Flash and 32K x 8 RAM support a CANopen slave node or multi-axis stepper controller. The part includes a full set of peripherals: brown-out detect, POR, PWM, and WDT for watchdog supervision. Connectivity covers CANbus, I²C, IrDA, Microwire, SPI, SSI, and UART/USART — enough to bridge fieldbus, sensor, and serial interfaces on a single chip. 60 general-purpose I/O are available in the 100-LQFP package.
Industrial temperature grade — rated for harsh environments
Operating temperature spans -40°C to 105°C. Supply range is 2.25 V to 2.75 V.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
No official TI successor part number is listed for this order code. For legacy production, the surplus channel is the practical route.
