Cortex-M3 at 25 MHz — 64 KB flash, 108-BGA
The LM3S2110-IBZ25-A2: It packs 64 KB of flash and 16 KB of SRAM — enough for moderate control firmware with a modest communication stack.
On-chip peripherals include brown-out detect, power-on reset, PWM, and a watchdog timer. The connectivity block covers CAN, I²C, IrDA, Microwire, SPI, SSI, and UART/USART — enough for industrial fieldbus bridging or sensor aggregation. 40 general-purpose I/O lines give headroom for parallel interfaces or local actuator control without external GPIO expanders.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a 108-ball LFBGA (10x10 mm body), the part is surface-mount only. Supply voltage is a single 2.25 V to 2.75 V rail — no separate analog supply needed.
Lifecycle: NRND — plan the migration
Texas Instruments lists this MCU as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). For existing BOM lines, it remains available through independent distribution; new designs should evaluate the current Stellaris or TM4C family for a pin-compatible path.
