108-BGA footprint and industrial temperature range
Housed in a 108-ball LFBGA (10x10 mm body), this part demands a fine-pitch BGA layout — expect via-in-pad or microvia routing for the center balls. Supply voltage is a tight 1.235 V to 1.365 V core rail, so the board needs a clean 1.3 V LDO or switcher with low ripple; the I/O bank runs from a separate 3.3 V supply (not listed here but standard for the Stellaris family). An internal oscillator is on-die, but for precision CAN or USB timing an external crystal is still the safer call.
For BOM lines that still need this exact MCU — legacy product support, field-service repairs, or a design that cannot migrate — the only channel is the surplus and broker market. If your project is still in design, consider a pin-compatible Stellaris sibling or a current TI Cortex-M4 part with a similar peripheral map to avoid a future last-time-buy scramble.
