Connectivity includes I²C, SPI, SSI, UART/USART, IrDA, Microwire, and a quadrature encoder interface (QEI) for motor position feedback. An 8-channel 10-bit ADC is on-chip, eliminating the need for an external converter in many sensor-front-end designs.
