Cortex-M3 core with 50 MHz throughput
The LM3S1918-IQC50-A2: The single-cycle multiply and hardware divide give it predictable timing for control loops and protocol handling.
On-chip memory and peripheral mix
The flash is field-programmable via UART or JTAG. Connectivity includes I²C, SPI, SSI, UART/USART, and IrDA — enough to interface with sensors, displays, and serial radios. 52 GPIO lines and an 8-channel 10-bit ADC cover most mixed-signal control tasks. On-chip peripherals include brown-out detect, POR, PWM, and a watchdog timer — the basic safety net for an unattended controller.
Industrial temperature range and supply
The single 2.25 V to 2.75 V supply rail simplifies the power tree — one LDO or buck converter feeds the core and I/O.
The exposed pad is not present — standard QFP reflow profile applies.
Active lifecycle — sourcing posture
