Core specs and what they drive
This is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 core clocked at 50 MHz, from the Stellaris® ARM® Cortex®-M3S 1000 series. The 33 general-purpose I/O pins and the 8-channel 10-bit ADC give it the peripheral count for sensor interfacing and actuator control in a 64-LQFP package. The 50 MHz clock is the practical limit for interrupt latency and bus throughput. The DMA peripheral offloads data movement without stalling the core.
The 64-pin LQFP with a 10x10 mm body is a standard industrial MCU footprint.
This covers the common sensor buses (I²C, SPI) and industrial comms (UART, SSI).
