50 MHz Cortex-M3 with 128 KB flash — memory and speed profile
The LM3S1776-IQR50-A0: The 64-LQFP (10x10 mm) package exposes 33 general-purpose I/O lines, plus a set of serial interfaces: I²C, SPI, SSI, UART/USART, IrDA, and Microwire. An internal oscillator keeps the BOM count low — no external crystal required for the core clock. On-chip peripherals include a 6-channel 10-bit ADC, PWM outputs, a watchdog timer, DMA, and brown-out detect/reset — enough for a motor-control or sensor-fusion node without an external ADC or supervisor.
No pin-compatible drop-in replacement is documented — any alternative requires a board-level evaluation.
Industrial temperature grade and supply range
The 64-LQFP package has a 0.50 mm pitch and a 10x10 mm body. A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane under the QFP is typical for signal integrity at 50 MHz; the exposed pad (if present) should be soldered to the ground plane for thermal relief.
