Texas Instruments has marked the LM3S1751-EQC50-A2 as Obsolete.
Core and memory — 50MHz Cortex-M3 with 128KB Flash
Built around the ARM Cortex-M3 core running at 50MHz, this 32-bit single-core MCU delivers deterministic interrupt handling and a single-cycle multiply for control-loop firmware. The 128KB on-chip Flash and 64KB SRAM provide enough headroom for a moderate application stack plus a real-time OS footprint. The -40°C to 105°C operating range covers industrial and outdoor enclosures where the ambient temperature inside the panel can exceed 85°C. The 2.25V to 2.75V supply rail means a single 2.5V regulator powers the core and I/O — no separate 1.8V rail needed.
Peripherals and I/O — 56 GPIOs with serial and analog
The peripheral set includes I²C, SPI, SSI, UART/USART, and IrDA for sensor fusion, display interfaces, or fieldbus bridges. Four 10-bit ADC channels handle analog feedback from potentiometers, current shunts, or thermistors without an external converter. On-chip brown-out detect, POR, PWM, and a watchdog timer reduce external supervisor IC count. The internal oscillator saves a crystal BOM line for applications that tolerate ±1% accuracy over temperature.
