Dual differential comparator — 2V to 36V supply rail
It operates from a single 2V to 36V rail or dual ±1V to ±18V supplies, which means it can sit directly on a 5V, 12V, or 24V bus without an extra regulator — one less part on the BOM. The output stage supports CMOS, MOS, open-drain, and TTL logic families, giving the designer flexibility to interface with microcontrollers, PLDs, or discrete logic without a level translator. The open-drain output allows wired-OR configurations for shared interrupt lines or bus arbitration.
It is not specified for industrial or automotive environments — if the board sees a motor drive enclosure or an engine bay, step up to the LM393 industrial-grade variant.
