Adjustable shunt reference — 1.24 V to 5.3 V output span
It covers an output range from 1.24 V minimum to 5.3 V maximum, set by two external resistors — no separate supply rail needed, just a bias current through the cathode.
Current handling and bias budget
Rated for 20 mA continuous output current, with a cathode current floor of 55 µA to maintain regulation. That 55 µA minimum bias is the design constraint: the series resistor feeding the reference must deliver at least that much current across the full input voltage range, plus whatever the load draws. Below that, the output drops out of regulation.
Temperature drift and tolerance grade
Specified at ±1% initial tolerance and a temperature coefficient of 150 ppm/°C. For a 2.5 V setpoint, that is about ±44 mV total variation.
Noise floor
Output noise is 50 µVrms integrated from 10 Hz to 10 kHz — typical for a low-power shunt reference. In a 12-bit ADC reference path with a 2.5 V full scale, that noise contributes roughly 0.2 LSB rms, acceptable for most general-purpose data acquisition.
